Bryan Horch has worked as a professional filmmaker and director of photography for over ten years.  As a result of working on dozens of documentaries and fiction films, he has developed skills in various aspects of production; from writing and producing to the crafts of directing and editing.

Since graduating from film school, Horch discovered a passion for American Sign Language, and has become a nationally certified ASL/ English interpreter.  He now works as both an independent filmmaker and ASL interpreter, producing award-winning documentaries, educational videos, independent narrative films and public service announcements for both Deaf and hearing audiences.

Horch's work spans a broad range of topics and genres from social justice issues like sexual and reproductive health, LGBT issues, human rights and access/ rights for the Deaf to campy comedy shorts, music videos and fiction films.  His most recent projects include a documentary about the effects of HIV/ AIDS on post-apartheid Namibia called "Crossing Borders", and an independent documentary focusing on the daily lives and struggles of a modern-day deaf Cuban family in Havana entitled "House of Signs." Approaching each new project with a blend of enthusiasm, professionalism and a sense of humor, Horch has both technical and people skills to make any production a success.
